General Packet Radio Services (GPRS)

General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is the latest generation of
high-speed data transmission techniques and Internet connectivity
for mobile phones. With GPRS, subscribers can access the Internet
anytime and any place. There is no need for a fixed line to access
the Internet and they can enjoy a permanent connection—being
charged only for the volumes of data sent and received, not for
connection time. The BeeOnLine
portal also is accessible using GPRS services.

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)

Full Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service, now available
within the Beeline coverage area, provides wireless access to
Internet data and service resources directly from mobile handsets.
WAP enables subscribers to connect to the Internet via a
WAP-enabled mobile handset without using additional devices, such
as a laptop or modem.
Additionally, the Beeline WAP-site provides subscribers with
detailed information about airline and train schedules, Moscow
traffic conditions, currency exchange rates, weather forecasts,
Moscow cultural events, TV programs, and political, sports and
cultural news. Web pages are constructed in WML format, which
provides high-speed downloading and adequate picture quality on
mobile handset displays.

My Beeline

My Beeline SIM-card delivers helpful information to a mobile
device. Subscribers can activate and pay for the services by
pushing several buttons. There is no need to remember contact
details for the information and service centers—it is easily found
in the phonebook of the mobile handset.

Universal Payment System

Universal Payment System service provides subscribers with
various convenient ways of service payments. Subscribers can make
payments through dealer sales outlets, VimpelCom offices, banks,
ATM, supermarkets and sales outlets, gas stations, Elecsnet
terminals, Rapida systems, E-port systems.

Service Center

Service Center is on-line system which enables subscribers to
turn on/off services, change billing plans, pay for the services
with the credit card, request the information about the balance,
outstanding fees, billing plans, list of activated services, USD
rates, etc.

SMS (Short Message Service)

SMS enables subscribers to exchange short text messages with
Beeline, MTS, Megafon, Sonet, Skylink and MSS subscribers.
Additional scopes are: mail to SMS, mobile e-mail. It also provides
access to information through the BeeOnLine portal, the first
Russian portal offering personal digital services launched in
mid-2000.
Beeline subscribers can also save up to 30% on each outgoing
message by buying one the SMS-packages of 25, 50 and 300 SMSs.

Call forwarding

Call forwarding saves time by redirecting incoming calls
(excluding incoming SMS) to any specified phone number and saves
money by diverting incoming calls to any fixed line. These calls do
not incur additional Beeline GSM charges.

Data transmission
 Data transmission allows the subscriber to transmit and receive
data from any phone number. Subscribers can choose the speed of
data transmission (300, 1200, 2400, 4800 or 9600 bits per second)
and change the data rate by contacting Beeline’s customer service.
The transmission speed defaults to 9600 bps.

Call restriction

Call restriction limits outgoing calls and allows subscribers to
control usage when other people are using their mobile phone.

Fax mail

Mobile devices can send and receive messages from any fax
machine.

Voice mail

Voice mail service allows callers to leave voice/fax messages if
the phone is busy, switched off, or out of the coverage area.
Notification of new messages in a voice mailbox will appear on the
display of a subscriber’s mobile handset, displaying the date and
time of call and caller’s phone number. Messages stored in the
voice mailbox can be played at any time.

Internet access via standard channel

Subscribers can access the Internet via the Beeline GSM network
and pay only for connection time (in accordance with current
Beeline data transmission tariffs).

Conference call

Conference call service allows subscribers to join several calls
simultaneously (up to 6 participants including the organizer of the
conference call).

Calling Line Identity Presentation (CLIP)

Calling Line Identity Presentation (CLIP) displays the name and
number of the caller (if the name is included in the phonebook) on
the subscriber’s mobile phone.
Subscribers also can access a list of the most recent incoming call
numbers, and return any of the calls.

Calling Line Identity Restriction (CLIR)

Calling Line Identity Restriction (CLIR) enables subscribers to
block their phone number when calling any Beeline numbers.

Favorite Number

Favorite Number service provides a 50% discount on calls to up
to five phone numbers that subscribers select. The cost is $0/month
for one number, $1.80/month for three numbers, and $6/month for
five numbers for the tariffs with credit payment system, and
$0/month for one number, $0.06/month for three numbers, and
$0.20/month for five numbers, respectively, for the prepaid tariff
plans.

Call waiting

Call waiting alerts subscribers to incoming calls and allows
them to answer a new call while already talking with another
caller.

Services for roamers. Welcome SMS

Beeline is pleased to introduce a new feature of its roaming
service. Roaming users who travel into the Beeline GSM network will
now be sent a helpful notification and greeting. For example, a
subscriber from Mobistar (Belgium) who travels to Russia and
registers with Beeline will receive the following greeting:
"Welcome to Beeline! For any info call 0633. To get your Voice-Mail
+32486191933, Customer Care +32495959500. We wish you a pleasant
stay in Russia!"

Partnership Program for Value-Added Services enables vendors to
deliver their information and entertainment services to Beeline
customers via SMS.

Beebonus

Beeline subscribers receive discounts on goods and services
provided by companies participating in Beebonus program. These
discounts, accumulated over time on special Beeline subscribers’
accounts, can also be used to pay for Beeline services.

BeeOnLine

The BeeOnLine mobile portal and participating partners provide
wireless, web-based business and recreational information as well
as a variety of entertainment and customer services.

Camel pre-paid roaming

This service allows Beeline pre-paid subscribers to
automatically receive access to roaming services (intranetwork
roaming and international roaming in Turkey and Ukraine) with a
positive balance on their accounts, since the required amount is
written off on-line.

Roaming for pre-paid subscribers

Beeline pre-paid subscribers receive roaming services, the same
as those provided to advance and postpaid subscribers. The service
is activated automatically when the balance on the account exceeds
$50 and deactivated in case if the balance is below $20.

"Chameleon"

This service provides Beeline subscribers with broadcast
messages that download automatically onto their mobile phones.
Through a user-friendly interface subscribers can download ring
tones and screen savers, news, participate in polls and quizzes,
subscribe for SMS or MMS alerts and more. Free news alerts are
delivered automatically, covering a range of topics. In addition,
by developing user profiles to identify related subjects, The
"Chameleon" can automatically deliver information on new areas of
interest to current subscribers.

This service enables Beeline subscribers to use their handsets
as universal payment instruments. Subscribers can order and
pay for goods and services provided by Beeline partners
participating in this program.

High Light Club

This service is designed especially for high volume users.
Benefits include a personal customer care manager, no-wait
servicing in Beeline offices, personalized credit payment programs,
trust payment programs, provision of a spare handset while an
owner’s mobile is being repaired, free of charge incoming and
outgoing calls during birthdays, and more.
In Y2007 Hi-Light Club loyalty program for high-ARPU clients
(launched in March 2005) has become a national-scale program.
After launching in 15 cities of 6 Russian regions in the beginning
of Y2007, the total number of participants exceeded 500K by the end
of Y2007 (200K in Moscow and 300K in regions).
The post-launch evaluation of financial effect of program for
Y2007 confirmed the positive results of Y2006 analysis – customers
continue to perceive the program as valuable, it decreases their
churn rate and increases spending. In Y2008, it is planned to
expand the program in Moscow and to launch it to 20 more
cities.
