The Supervisory Board has approved a new dividend policy and for the financial year ending 31 December 2016, VimpelCom intends to pay a dividend in the aggregate amount of US 23 cents per share comprised of US 3.5 cents per share paid as an interim dividend in December 2016 and US 19.5 cents per share as a final dividend.

The record date for the Company’s shareholders entitled to receive the final dividend payment was set for 30 March 2017.  The final divident has been paid on 12 April 2017. The Company made appropriate tax withholdings of up to 15% when the dividend was paid to the Company’s share depositary, The Bank of New York Mellon.

Thereafter, VEON is committed to paying a sustainable and progressive dividend based on the evolution of the Company’s equity free cash flow.

Equity free cash flow shall be defined as net cash flow from operating activities less net cash used in investing activities, as reported in the Company’s Consolidated Financial Statements.
