VimpelCom to hold conference call to discuss its recent proposal concerning the acquisition of Kyivstar

Moscow and New York (February 14, 2006) — Open Joint Stock Company Vimpel-Communications ("VimpelCom" or the "Company") (NYSE: VIP) announced today that it will webcast its conference call to discuss its recent proposal concerning the acquisition of Kyivstar on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. Moscow time (10:30 a.m. ET). The conference call will be hosted by Alexander Izosimov, Chief Executive Officer.

The call may be accessed via webcast at the Company's website at the following URL address http://www.vimpelcom.com. For those who will be unable to listen to the live slide presentation webcast, it will be archived on the Company's web site until February 21, 2006.
